In 2023, the Arbitration Centre at the RSPP administered 545 cases worth over USD 372 million, which is a record figure in its history.
The main category comprised disputes arising out of sales agreements (52.3%), construction agreements (29.6%), loan and credit agreements and (or) related security transactions (surety, pledge) (6.4%), as well as service contracts (6%). Other types of disputes included financial and exchange trading disputes, carriage of goods agreement disputes (maritime and road freight), independent (bank) guarantee disputes, lease agreement disputes, including affreightment disputes, division of community property of spouses disputes, along with disputes in the field of intellectual property.
Claims involving parties from 4 jurisdictions, including 3 new jurisdictions, were filed as international commercial arbitration disputes.
Overall, 551 cases were considered in 2023. 271 cases were heard online, and in 123 cases the parties agreed to conduct expedited (simplified) arbitration without oral hearings. 79 cases were settled by consent of the parties.
In 2023, the regional offices of the Arbitration Centre at the RSPP demonstrated positive dynamics, having taken part in the administration of 156 proceedings.
