On June 19, 2025 the Arbitration Centre at the RSPP leadership met with the Guangzhou Arbitration Commission delegation headed by its President Mr Wang Tianxi.

The representatives of the Arbitration Centre at the RSPP and the Guangzhou Arbitration Commission exchanged their knowledge and experience of legislative regulation of arbitration in Russia and China, discussed ways of optimising work of arbitration institutions in both countries, as well as promising areas of cooperation between the two arbitration centres. A special attention was paid to the role played by digital technologies in arbitration, experience and possibilities of its application. The prospects of cooperation on information technologies in the field of arbitration were covered in the speech of an arbitrator of the Arbitration Centre at the RSPP, Head of the Centre for Legal Support of Foreign Economic Activity, Import Substitution and Industrial Development, and Professor of the Department of Intellectual Rights and the Department of Private International Law at the Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSAL) Mr Beniamin Shakhnazarov. The participants of the meeting agreed to increase interaction and strengthen traditionally friendly relations.

Notably, the Arbitration Centre at the RSPP and the Guangzhou Arbitration Commission are long-standing partners, cooperating both bilaterally and multilaterally. For example, in 2021 the two arbitration institutions concluded a Memorandum of Understanding and in 2024 the Nansha Consensus on BRICS Arbitration Cooperation was signed.  

The trustworthiness of the relationship between the two arbitration institutions is also emphasized by the fact that the list of recommended arbitrators of the Guangzhou Arbitration Commission includes representatives of the International Disputes Panel of the Arbitration Centre at the RSPP including its Chairman Mr Alexander Grebelsky, while an arbitrator of the Guangzhou Arbitration Commission Mr Zhenli Zhang serves as the Ambassador of the Arbitration Centre at the RSPP in China.
