In line with the order of the Dubai International Financial Centre Courts (DIFC) No. ARB 023/2025 dated July 3, 2025, the arbitral award in the case of the Arbitration Centre at the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs “shall be recognised as binding within the DIFC”.

As the Court pointed out, since the arbitral award is considered to be “ratified” (recognized) in the sense of Article 7 of Dubai Law No. (12) of 2004 Concerning the Judicial Authorities at the Dubai International Financial Centre, the arbitral award also be enforced outside the DIFC in accordance with the said law.

Within the proceedings the Tribunal considered an initial statement of claim of the Emirati company and a counterclaim of its Russian counterparty. The claims made in the course of the arbitration arose out of international sales, storage and services contracts.

The arbitral tribunal including arbitrators from the Russian Federation and the United Arab Emirates nominated by the parties, considered the case applying the law of both countries. The arbitration was conducted entirely in English language.
